FREE SELF-GUIDED LEARNING PATH

Prepare one market.
Learn by doing.

Four self-guided exercises, from a show brief to a useful event review.

Start with your own materials and work through the exercises at your pace. This page is free. It includes no instructor feedback, live classes or certification.

01 / Write your show brief

Choose a real event you are considering. Record its date, table dimensions, organizer requirements, access arrangements and costs using information you have checked with the organizer.

Your exercise

Decide what you need to learn from this event. Keep that question separate from a sales target. Note which assumptions still need confirmation.

Finish with: A short event brief with confirmed facts and open questions.

02 / Model your stock

Open the free planner and replace the fictional example with an assortment you could actually bring. Enter consistent prices and included costs. Try more than one sold-quantity scenario.

Your exercise

Inspect the result after included event costs and after the optional labor allowance. Note costs you have omitted and cash tied up in unsold stock.

Finish with: A downloaded cost-and-stock scenario with labeled assumptions.

03 / Rehearse the table

Mark the actual table dimensions on a surface. Arrange the work, prices, wrapping area and a clear handoff space. Check the arrangement from a visitor’s viewpoint before packing it.

Your exercise

Give each product a simple item code. Pack the rehearsal layout in a sequence you can reverse at the event. Make your own load-out list and tick it against the packed boxes.

Finish with: A table plan, item codes and a checked packing list.

04 / Record & review

At the event, record transactions consistently using your item codes. Keep questions and compliments in a separate notes column. Afterward, reconcile opening stock with sales, breakage and closing stock.

Your exercise

Compare actual included costs and receipts with your scenario. Choose one supported change for the next event; describe what observation would make you keep it.

Finish with: A stock reconciliation, an event review and one next experiment.

Keep the whole project together.

Download your planner, keep your notes with the work and record one thing you changed after reviewing it. The PDF edition adds the complete written workflow, a worked example and reusable worksheets.
