Give your market
a clear scenario.

Change the stock, prices and included costs. See what the modeled sales would leave after the event.

The starting values are the workbook’s fictional 40-piece example. Replace them with your own assumptions. These are planning figures, not recorded sales.

Choose consistent cost categories. Keep owner labor out of unit cost if you include it in the separate allowance. Add transaction fees to your included cost estimate where relevant.

Read the result.

Revenue is modeled sold units multiplied by price. Included variable costs are modeled sold units multiplied by your cost per sold unit. Subtract those to find contribution, then subtract included event costs and the optional labor allowance.

Unsold stock still ties up cash. This simple scenario does not subtract production costs of unsold items, tax, overhead or costs you have omitted. The result is only as complete as your inputs; it is not a full accounting profit statement.

A negative result is a useful signal to inspect the assumptions. A positive result does not establish demand or guarantee a successful event.
