Plan a six-foot pottery table before market day
Make the work readable and the handoff practical.
Rehearse at full size
Measure your allocated space and set it out at home. Include the table, fixtures and any working area. Confirm the event rules before adding furniture outside the table footprint.
Choose one focal group
Start with a small group that represents the work clearly. Separate categories and use visible prices. Space between pieces can help a visitor understand the assortment.
Check stability with the real pieces
Pottery weight and shape matter. Use suitable supports, inspect rocking or tipping, and keep vulnerable pieces away from exposed edges. A decorative fixture is not automatically a suitable load-bearing support.
Leave a wrapping station
Place wrapping and bags within easy reach. Practice picking up, confirming, wrapping and handing over a piece. Notice what you have to move during that sequence.
Take a photograph
Use a front-view photo to rebuild the layout. Pack by group and label the containers so your event-day setup follows the rehearsal.
